Italian restaurant balustrade made by Peat Oberon
Italian restaurant balustrade

"In the plans for the redesign of an Italian restaurant, this was just indicated as a squiggle by the interior designer, with a note saying 'balustrade by blacksmith'. A verbal instruction to 'make it a bit old Italian, a bit Art Nouveau' was also received. A prototype was made, approved, and a jig made to reproduce it in quantity. The jig (see 'Artist Blacksmith' magazine no. 93) took three days to make but produced a satisfactory result."
