Planter made from forged iron by Peat Oberon
  Planter

"This was started as a commission but evolved into an ego trip destined for exhibiton at FIFI (First International Festival of Iron, Cardiff, 1989). It eventually became too expensive for the commissioner.

"After 150 hours of research, 35 hours of drawing and redrawing, the manufacture took about 7 man weeks. Many techniques were used including profile cutting, drawing down, bending, repoussée, gas welding, electric welding and collaring. The final shape of the legs took a long time as all curves were three-dimensional and all twelve feet had to touch the ground."
