Wall hanging featuring a squirrel made from forged iron by Peat Oberon

"I made this wall hanging for the revival of the Great Yorkshire Show - many techniques were used in its making. The tree trunk was split and parted and all the leaves and tendrils were firewelded together. The body was made by repoussée technique. The tail was made from 25 x 25 x 3mm angle sawn, drawn out and gas welded to the body. The firewelded ring was decorated by fullering (hit with a special tool rather like a blunt chisel)."
